Shane Ballard is a Costume Designer and Illustrator for stage and screen. Costume Design credits include: Close Up- Ailey Citicorp Theater 2026, Bolero- Tucson Symphony Orchestra & University of Arizona School of Dance 2024- Linda Ronstadt Music Hall, Embarqued- BAM/Brooklyn Academy of Music 2022, Innovative Works, Beyond The Mint- Charlotte Ballet 2019, Hair- Berkshire Theater Group 2018, An Octoroon- Rutgers Theater Company 2017, One Day- 3LD Art and Technology Center 2015, Madame Infamy - The NY Musical Theater Festival 2014. 

As an illustrator, Ballard has been on the Costume Design teams for Tony, Emmy and Oscar nominated projects Including: Steven Spielberg’s remake of West Side Story, Aretha Franklin biopic Respect, the film Harriet, NBC’s Emmy Award winning production of The Wiz Live, HBO’s The Immortal Life Of Henrietta Lacks starring Oprah Winfrey and HBO drama The Gilded Age.

Ballard is currently on the faculties of Rutgers University, Mason Gross School Of The Arts and Montclair State Universities in Costume Designe and Theater Production. Ballard is a proud member of United Scenic Artists Local 829.
